The Tiny Vet Clinic
Thanks to the generosity of Petstock Foundation and Hands Across Canberra, ACT Pet Crisis Support is proud to deliver veterinary services through our Tiny Vet Clinic (TVC).
This initiative is designed to support pet owners facing financial hardship who may otherwise struggle to access essential veterinary care. To our knowledge, this model of service is the first of its kind in Australia.
We were recently featured on The Project, who helped launch a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds so we can expand our services and reach more pets in need.

Please note:
If you are a pet owner with a Healthcare Card, please complete our registration form.
Please note:
- We are not equipped for emergency care, radiographs, or surgical procedures (including desexing).
- Consultations are free, but we ask for a donation of $20–$50 for medications (depending on the type).
- Annual vaccinations: $30 per pet, payable on the day.
- Microchipping: $20 per pet, payable on the day.
- Limit of 3 pets per household. Please only bring one pet per visit so we can provide fair care to everyone.
- We operate on a triage system: urgent cases are seen first, and routine consultations may be postponed if needed.
- Dogs must remain on a secure lead and under control at all times. (A dog dragging its lead is not considered under control.)
- Cats must remain in carriers until safely inside the clinic.
- We do not provide litter vaccinations or treat breeding-related conditions. We support responsible pet ownership and desexing.
- Please note: consultations are always free, but pet owners are required to contribute to the cost of medications, blood tests, vaccinations, and microchipping, unless prior arrangements have been approved by our administration team.
Clinics are scheduled to run on the first three Wednesdays of each month, subject to volunteer vet availability. Please understand that on occasion, clinics may need to be cancelled if a vet is not available — this is outside of our control, but we will always do our best to keep you informed.
Thanks to Petstock Foundation and Hands Across Canberra, ACT Pet Crisis Support now has the 'Tiny Vet Clinic' to bring veterinary services to pet owners who may have trouble accessing veterinary care due to experiencing financial hardship. This model of service for disadvantaged pet owners will be the first of its kind, in fact we are not aware of anyone else in Australia offering this type of service.
We recently featured on The Project who suggested a Go Fund Me to help raise funds to expand our services.
If you are a pet owner with a Healthcare Card please fill out the form here to pre-register so we know you are coming.
Please note, we are not available for emergency care, radiographs or surgical procedures (including desexing) at this time.
For vet clinics keen to refer patients to the Tiny Vet Clinic, you can fill out the form here or email us the history at [email protected]. We are happy to help manage chronic conditions such as skin allergies (including Cytopoint injections), arthritis (including Beransa if indicated), heart disease, hyperthyroidism or anything that requires ongoing medications. We can do lump checks, blood tests, we have a very basic ultrasound, a microscope and any tools you would have in your regular consultation room.
Please also note:
Thank you to Studio 4 who completed the signage and Ina J Photography for supporting us in many ways, including taking the gorgeous photo of Mooki for the side of the clinic.

- All dogs MUST be on a lead and under control at ALL times – a dog dragging its lead is **NOT ** under control.
- All Cats MUST stay in their carriers until safely inside the clinic, where they can relax and get used to their surroundings.
- We do not do litter vaccinations or treat breeding-related illnesses. We support responsible pet ownership and desexing rather than breeding.
- Consultations are free, but we ask for a donation of at least $20-$50 for medications (depending on the medication). This helps to keep the TVC on the road.
- All annual vaccinations are now $30 per pet and will need to be paid for on the day of treatment.
- All microchipping is now $20 per pet and will need to be paid for on the day of treatment.
- There is a pet treatment limit of 3 pets per household.
- Please also only bring one pet from each household per visit, to ensure we are able to prioritise care for all our patients. You are welcome to attend a future clinic with additional pets.
- We run on a triage system, which means we will prioritise urgent over routine consultations.
