About ACT Pet Crisis Support
ACT Pet Crisis Support is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation based in Canberra. Since registering with the ACNC in March 2019, our mission has been clear: to prevent the heartbreaking reality of pets being euthanised simply because their families cannot afford treatment.
Our Mission Statement:
To ensure that pets in need owned by disadvantaged, low-income pet owners in the ACT and local region have access to veterinary care.
Our Mission
Every pet deserves the chance to live a healthy, happy life — no matter their owner’s financial circumstances. Our mission is to ensure that disadvantaged and low-income families in the ACT and surrounding region can access essential veterinary care for their beloved companions.
What We Do
Through our program, we provide subsidised veterinary treatment for families facing financial hardship. By offering alternatives to economic euthanasia, we help keep pets and their people together, supporting the bond that brings comfort, love, and stability to so many lives.
More details about how our program works are available on our FAQ page.
What Can You Do?
Together, we can reduce animal suffering and make affordable veterinary care a reality for those who need it most. If you would like to support our work — whether by donating or just spreading the word — we’d love to hear from you. Please contact us to find out how you can help.
