ACT Pet Crisis Support is entirely run by a dedicated group of volunteers. We have been brought together by a shared vision to avoid unnecessary suffering and euthanasia of beloved family pets.
ACT Pet Crisis Support is an Incorporated Association, registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission in March 2019.

President & Vet Lead- Dr Eloise Bright
Dr. Eloise Bright started ACT Pet Crisis Support in 2019 along with Sue who has served as Secretary since it's humble beginnings. A Canberra local, Eloise was saddened by the need to euthanase pets due to lack of money and when she heard about Pet Medical Crisis in Victoria, was inspired to start a similar organisation in Canberra. She currently works at the RSPCA as a shelter vet and runs Canberra Behaviour Vet. |
Secretary - Sue Thomas
Sue has been helping with ACT Pet Crisis Support since the beginning and still volunteers with Pets in the Park where Eloise and she met. She is a strong advocate for the prevention of cruelty to animals and enjoys volunteering for a range of charities. She worked for 34 years with the Australian Federal Police before retiring to volunteer full-time. She currently lives with two rescue dogs. |
Treasurer - Alex Bai
Alex is a qualified CPA who has been working as a senior financial professional in private, NFP and consulting industry for over 20 years. Bringing extensive accounting, project management and consulting experiences, Alex oversees the financial administration of APCS, reviews procedures, reporting and advises the board on financial strategy. Alex has been an animal lover his entire life and currently has two beautiful greyhounds. |
